How common are exceptions to one's sexuality?

2021.09.19 07:25 duks_on_quak9 How common are exceptions to one's sexuality?

For context, about a month and a half ago I started dating this man, and in this time I have fallen head over heels for him. Like I would kill for him, I want to spend the rest of my life with him. But a couple days ago he came out to me as trans. Since he has come out to me, I have tried to be as supportive as possible, like I helped him decide on a new name today and next weekend I'm taking him to get some makeup, some new outfits, to get his nails done, and to see a hairstylist abt products to make his hair more feminine.
The problem is that I am gay, atleast mostly. I have never once been attracted to a woman romantically, and very rarely have I been attracted to a woman sexually. I am worried that as he presents more and more female, that I'll lose interest in him romantically. I really really don't want to because I love him with everything I have, I want marry him eventually but idk if I can love a woman like I can a man.
I just want to know, in your expierence, how many times has there been an exception to your sexuality.
(Plz use he/him pronouns when referring to him in comments, for rn he only wants me using she/her pronouns, and only in private)

2021.09.19 07:25 max_hllr A little guidance please ...

Hello everyone,
I am a 2017-2021, IT undergraduate working in a service-based company with 7LPA pay, I got into the job through my college placements. I don't have a lot of high-level projects to my name just some basic stuff and I am not very fluent in DSA, I can probably do easy questions. I always had a dream of getting into top tech companies.
Now, I am really directionless, I don't know if I should work on my DSA or learn development and do a few projects or do my master's from abroad. It's like I am not moving forward because of trying to do everything and it feels like I am learning nothing on-job and off-job. Are a lot of projects required to get into big tech companies or just some experience works? Should I focus 100% on DSA? Should I work on preparing for GRE and do my master's in hope of landing a big tech job there?

2021.09.19 07:25 TheMachinePreacher [LFG] Seasoned player looking for a chill group

G’Day from down under! I’m 25yr, male, seasoned player from Australia who’s been playing D&D since AD&D, but had to take time off due to circumstances. Now, after a long hiatus, I’m back in the market! But the market sure has changed, thanks to COVID. Though I think this is for the better: virtual games, improved connectivity and free online platforms means people from all over the world can now meet and have fun!
I’m looking for a chill, mature (18+) group who’s into role playing and adventuring. I’m pretty chill myself and have a penchant for creating characters with themes in mind – my most successful in the past were Indiana Jones, Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde amongst others. As I work shifts, I tend to have weird hours, so I don’t mind playing with anyone from any part of the world.
So if you’re interested in a mature, chill player with a wicked sense of humour, I’m your man! I’m very accepting of LGBTQ players, so you have nothing to worry there. Just message me here or on Discord so we can work things out, my Discord username: the.machine.preacher #0947

2021.09.19 07:25 mxpower The Days of an EverQuest 'Like' game are over. There will not be another one and this is why....

You see, the whole EQ experience was exactly that... an experience that was a one-time deal.
EQ launched in 99, when dial-up internet was finally getting stable and we heard about this 3d first person view online game. You logged on... chose some name, made a character with extra charisma and intelligence and were literally dropped into this virtual world with a rusty sword, 5 pieces of bread and 5 flasks of water.
No tutorial. No online guides. Just a naked toon in a world with others that was painful.
You might have figured that you needed to kill a skeleton or spider, and like everyone else, probably died repeatedly from said mobs or falling out of a tree or other.
Eventually you found yourself sitting next to a guard contemplating quitting the game, but you just spent 50$ on it and heard it was great.
You turn your head and there is someone else thinking the same. You say Hi, share some stories about the worst skeleton attack ever and next thing you know... you've made a friend that can help you seek revenge against them!
There was no 3rd person view, so you were immersed into this alternate reality where the stories and characters of LOTR or Dungeons and Dragons were coming to life... right on your screen!
Your new team mate helped you gain a level or two... you felt a sense of accomplishment when you heard that "DING"!. Next thing you know... youre battling Orcs!
Spell casting orcs! It becomes a massacre... youre on a corpse run and its a long journey to find your body and your mates body! You both successfully recover your corpse, rush back to the safety of some guards, blood pumping... adrenaline rushing through you like NO other game has ever done.
You look and its 4am... say good night to your new friend and try to get some sleep....
Throughout the night you have visions of Orcs... Skeletons.... battles.... new friends. Sleep is near impossible! But you manage and the next night you find yourself with your friend and possibly another one!
Next thing you know, youre in Crushbone... this isnt no skeleton hunt anymore.... this isnt no Orc hill.... You and youre new friends need a strategy if youre ever gonna survive in there!
You see, that was pretty much the first few days of EQ that most of us remember. Followed my legendary challenges.... 2 hour corpse runs.... numerous new friends and groups.... your online persona now gains a reputation.... a virtual being that has friends, that has skills, that has character etc.
Everyone was forced to work with others..... there was NO soloing. No help. No tutorials.
Shit... even getting the game to run correctly was a matter of trading secrets with your friends!
Day after day.... night after night... you would log in and loose yourself to this alternate reality where your character was what YOU wanted to make it... it eventually turned into an escape from reality. A place you can relax, a place you can have fun, a place were you can explore.
EQ was never "challenging" like the skills required in todays modern games, but, it required research, knowledge, communication skills, social skills.... without it... your character was not gonna level.
It was a GRIND, It required you to log in and grind, but the grind was part of the game... you didn't mind because we didn't know any better and you had your friends to share it with!
Everything I describe.... would absolutely FAIL in todays market. When WoW was in development, the players wanted to "Fix" everything that was wrong with EQ. Travel.... Grinding.... Being forced to group... Assistance/hand holding through quests.... etc
But you see.... it was the adrenaline of almost drowning when you zoned into a lake from a bugged boat. It was the adrenaline when you died at 2am and NEEDED to run across a continent... when you saw a Druid... you needed SOW! You were forced to interact!
All those things that modern mmorpg's "Fixed" is what gave our experience character and it was a MAJOR part of the game. Its what made you almost cry when you got an epic level sword.... its not the loot... its the journey you went through in the past YEAR to get there and you didn't do it alone... you couldn't do it alone so EVERYONE was happy for you as well.
I played EQ with my GF, now wife for 3 years.... nightly. I look back at those years with no regrets, we experienced something that very few people will ever have the chance too experience. We had to stop because eventually.... RL requires us to grow up and moderate gaming. We cant be up at 2am because Emperor SSra needs to die and we need the entire guild there STAT before another guild gets him!
Looking back... of all the memories, of all the feels... NONE of that would appeal to any of todays core audience. Sure... us old folks would love it.... but we are the minority.
There will never be another EQ from 99/00 because it was that whole experience that made it EQ.
PS... I have a 15 year old son... he watches 5-10 minute youtube videos, he flips through 40 second clips on TicToc, even some of the music he listens too is 1 or 2 minutes long. This is a generation that would NEVER commit to anything we did, why... because they have choices now, where we didnt.

2021.09.19 07:25 Gamurah Do the metal worker nexus pro internals ease higher powered spring priming?

Was a little adventurous and added a custom spacer with an OOD high power spring (even though they specifically say not to lol sorry OOD). The performance from those shots were nuts but priming was an absolute workout. So I thought to myself, screw it I'll go all out and try to deck this thing out to it's maximum. I definitely want to experiment with other springs too if the answer to my question is yes.

2021.09.19 07:25 418397 How can the scalar nature of temperature be established on the basis of zeroth law of thermodynamics?

Zemansky states... The scalar character of temperature may be established on the basis of zeroth law of thermodynamics. For systems A and B in thermal equilibrium, all the information that is needed is that both A and B are in thermal equilibrium with C....
I didn't understand how exactly this tells me that temperature is a scalar. Can anyone please elaborate? Like what would the scenario look like if say, temperature was a vector?
